Altar Marshal
Altar Marshal is a Mythic Nature Tank/Burst hero positioned in the front row. He plays similarly to Desert Prince — part tank, part damage dealer — but with a burstier offensive profile. Altar Marshal arrives in Season 1 alongside Monk and Tidecaller and immediately displaces Treeguard from the starting lineup.

Altar Marshal is the #2 upgrade priority for Nature. He bonds with Monk for a strong defensive bond, and has an additional synergy with Wanderer (cross-faction effect, details unspecified). His UW is available at a lower shard cost than Tidecaller’s (270 shards for +9 to +10, vs Tidecaller’s 295), making it an attractive early investment before committing to Tidecaller’s more expensive higher tiers.
Altar Marshal’s full skill details are being collected. Skill descriptions will be added when data becomes available.
Skills
Section titled “Skills”Altar Marshal’s kit centers on frontline durability combined with burst damage output. As a tank/DPS hybrid he needs to both absorb punishment and deal meaningful damage — making Fury of Blood the correct gear choice to keep him alive long enough to contribute offensively.
| Bond | Heroes | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Forest Shield | Altar Marshal + Monk | Damage Reduction +9–15% |
The bond with Monk is one of Nature’s two endgame defensive bonds. The variable range (9–15%) suggests the effect scales with hero star level or bond investment.
Altar Marshal also has a cross-faction bond synergy with Wanderer (Horde Mythic), though the specific effect is not yet documented.
Recommended: Fury of Blood — Altar Marshal is a frontline tank/DPS hybrid and needs to survive long enough to deal damage. In Season 5, once Petalis arrives and team composition stabilizes, he can optionally try Glory of the Knight or Titan’s Might when acting as a third tank — but Fury of Blood remains the safest choice.
Altar Marshal is part of the Nature faction. See the full Nature guide for team compositions and upgrade priorities.
